I am writing a book.
day one of attending my first-ever book writing retreat
Like dirty laundry, dreams can get stained, wrinkled, and pushed aside. Mine have grown into a pile on the couch, right next to the used coffee cups and crumpled up Klenex. But, today is laundry day. Since I was a child, it's always been my dream to write a book, and this week will be dedicated to that childhood ambition. In exchange for being an event assistant, I get to attend a 7 day writing retreat dedicated to writing AND finishing my book. Let's get washing!

…never thought about writing a book but today had an hour consultation with an author who has spent three decades doing oral histories of a long since bulldozed forest community and remembered i do want to write a book…specifically i want cities to pay me to collect and compile their annual oral histories…we lose so many moments to untold stories…that’s a story i want to tell…
