Do you know how curling irons work? I always thought heat created the curl, but it’s actually the cooling that sets it. You need both—the heat to reshape and the cooling to lock it in place. This mirrors my struggle with lasting change. I’m great at following the heat, diving into passion, taking the initial leap. But I’m terrible at the slow consistency needed to hold that change. Through writing this book, I hope I’ll either learn to cool down or sprint while the fire’s still hot.
